A summary:

The Netherlands as arena
Ilona Eichhorn has already seen a lot of the world: She was born in Scotland, grew up in Uganda and eventually ended up in the Netherlands. The Netherlands became her arena in which she won different national tournaments in debating and pleading.

“A hobby that got out of control”
At the university of Utrecht Ilona studied Natural science & Innovationmanagement and Fiscal Law. Next to her study Ilona always kept doing what she liked to do. Because of this, debating turned into training and training turned into running an organisation. Ilona describes her work often as “a hobby that got out of control”.

Debat.NL
Since seven years Ilona works at Debat.NL as partner. She delivers trainings, moderates conferences and is sparring partner for several politicians. She is also author of the dutch book “De jacht op de vergadertijger” (SDU, 2009), which describes how one can have (business)meetings in a more efficient way.

Ilona reached the Dutch media several times already with her work. Articles about Ilona were published in de Intermediar, het Financieel Dagblad, de Opzij, het Management Team and you were able to hear Ilona live on BNR nieuwsradio.

Ambition
Ilona’s ambition is to help Debat.NL grow without losing quality. Next to that she hopes to keep working with the same and new inspiring people in the future.
